At this years PhD Symposium organized by the Young Scientist Organisation of the Medical University Vienna Catello Giordano received the oral presentation award in the Oncology and Molecular Biology session for his talk on new molecules that target transcriptionally hyperactive regions in T-cell Lymphoma.
Catello Giordano studied Medical Biotechnology at the University Federico II in Naples, Italy. In October 2021 he joined the Molecular Signal Transduction PhD program of the Medical University of Vienna under the Supervision of Assoc. Prof. Olaf Merkel at the Department of Pathology. His PhD thesis aims to find new therapeutics in childhood lymphoma that specifically target transcriptionally hyperactive regions.
